You imagine what to do.
I work out how to do it.

Eduardo Páez Trujillo. Independent software developer and architect based in Lima. Fifteen years building what agencies imagine.

About me

I am an independent software developer and architect based in Lima, trained in systems engineering. I work as part of the team at digital agencies, as the technical side of what they create. An agency handles design, message and visual impact; I handle the functional side: making sure the piece does what it promises, connects to the client systems, holds the traffic it will receive and records what happens inside it. My craft lies in joining the two: reading what the campaign wants to achieve and choosing the technical route that makes it possible.

That covers the whole project: analysis, architecture, database, backend, frontend, server, deployment and measurement. I started as a programmer in 1997 and worked as analyst, head of systems and project manager before going independent, so I handle code, scope and management alike. That is where a complete view of a project comes from, and the ability to propose a solution to an idea whatever the technology involved. I have spent fifteen years applying it as the technical partner of agencies.

Track record. Almost all of my work comes through agencies, in Peru, Spain and Italy. That route has had me build and maintain the digital products of some of the largest brands in the Peruvian market: Wong, Sodimac, Nissan, MiBanco, BCP, Pacífico Seguros, Prima AFP and AJE. With one Italian agency I have run multiple projects since 2012, for clients in Italy, England, the United States and Russia, all handled from Lima. In total, more than 400 projects for around 270 clients.

What I offer

Campaign digital products

Sites and landing pages built for SEO and SEM, with whatever custom development the mechanics of each campaign call for, along with its legal compliance and its measurement.

Custom systems and platforms

Management software, intranets and data platforms built around how each client actually operates.

E-commerce, payments and integrations

WooCommerce, PrestaShop, Shopify and custom builds, connected to ERP and CRM systems, payment gateways and logistics providers.

AI applied to the client business

Text, image and video generation, interpretation of what the user writes, and process automation, built into the campaign or into daily operations.

Auditing and migration of legacy systems

Technical and security auditing, migration planning and execution on old systems still running in production.

Performance, measurement and lead generation

Core Web Vitals, Google Ads campaigns, GTM with GA4, conversion tracking and consent management.

Ongoing maintenance

A monthly fee with responsibility for the infrastructure and the security of a portfolio of accounts.

Deployment and servers

Going live, certificates, backups and monitoring, on AWS or on whatever infrastructure the client already has.

How I work

White label
I work under the agency brand and under a confidentiality agreement. The agencies I work with are never named.
One point of contact
You always talk to me. The same person analyses, builds, deploys and maintains, so years later there is still someone who knows the project from the inside.
Documented deliveries
Every delivery is versioned, dated and documented, so that years later it is possible to reconstruct what was delivered and on what basis.
Availability
I work to the client time zone, wherever that is. If the meeting is at nine in the morning in Madrid, Milan or New York, I am there, even when that means the small hours in Lima.
Languages
Native Spanish, advanced English, basic Japanese.

How I solve things

The job defines the tool. I have worked with a wide range of languages and technologies across almost three decades. Given defined time and resources, a technical requirement always has a solution, and my work consists of finding it. If a project calls for a technology I have not used before, I take it on with the same responsibility: the method for solving it is the same.

I have programmed in close to thirty languages over my career. I started in systems and low-level work with C, C++ and Assembler, moved on to desktop business development in Visual Basic, Delphi, Clipper and FoxPro, and the shift to the web brought ASP, PHP, Java, Python, Go and C# on .NET. On the client side, JavaScript and TypeScript with Angular and React. Add to that SQL in its various dialects, automation in Bash and PowerShell, and mobile development in Swift. On infrastructure I administer Linux and Windows servers, and deploy on AWS.

That breadth defines the scope of what I can offer. An agency gets frontend, backend, database, server and measurement from a single supplier, and can commit to projects outside its usual stack, including systems a client already has running in production.

Five-stage working cycle: understand the brief, choose the technology, build, measure and maintain, with the brief defining the tool at the centre.

Case studies

MiBanco - Pre-approved credit checker

MiBanco pre-approved credit landing page.

A landing page the bank can manage and tailor to each campaign, working over a large volume of information and giving every visitor an answer on the spot.

Result. The bank launches campaigns and adjusts the answers without new development, and measures each one separately.

Arbio Perú - Online donation capture

Arbio Perú tree adoption page.

The website connected to the organisation CRM, so that each adoption, its payment and its certificate are recorded in a single place.

Result. The NGO runs its entire fundraising from its CRM, with the website as the front end for payment and issuing.

Pacífico Seguros - Cuentos para soñar

Pacífico Seguros personalised story generator.

The information a parent gives about their child is analysed to write a text around that particular dream, and what comes back is a story where the child is the protagonist and the product appears as the factor that makes the ending possible.

Result. The insurer hands every family a different story, with its product inside the narrative, generated end to end with no one involved.

Veterinary sector - Measured lead generation

Lead capture page for a veterinary clinic.

The sites optimised and connected to Google services in order to run campaigns aimed at each clinic service, with the whole journey measured.

Result. The clinics began receiving appointments from their campaigns, and with search campaigns those appointments kept growing.

Mario Pinto - Industrial catalogue with PDF generation

Mario Pinto and SMW Autoblok industrial catalogue.

The website connected to the factory internal systems, with PDF catalogues generated on the fly and filtered to whatever is needed at the time.

Result. The catalogue feeds itself from the factory systems, and anyone can assemble the catalogue they need at the moment they need it.

Other projects, for the technical challenge

Time-tracking agent for an agency

The agent installed on each machine had been failing for months and the system was down. I rebuilt it entirely: it recognises the application actually in use, covers the several screens on each desk, keeps recording while offline and follows the browser in Chrome, Firefox and Edge. The backend was left untouched and the system went back into service.

Libélula - Climate change media monitoring

Continuous tracking of dozens of digital outlets, subscription ones included, with new outlets added from the admin panel. It processed hundreds of thousands of articles a month for several years, and outlets were added without touching a line of code.

Libélula - Climate data observatory

A manager for climate indicators and their presentation on maps, charts and tables, built into a larger platform that already existed, respecting its standards and its codebase. Still in use.

SMW Autoblok - Technical catalogue across subsidiaries

A shared repository for an Italian manufacturer with plants in several countries: an engineer in China or Spain searches by specification, finds that the part was already made at another site and knows who to ask for the drawings. It has been in production for years.

Auren - Field surveys across Lima

The phones carried by a distributor delivery staff turned into survey devices, with conditional logic, questionnaires updated remotely and recording that survives a loss of signal. The company sold those studies to brands such as Movistar.

Tony Custer - Animated children book for tablet

An illustrated book taken to tablet, with the illustrations animated page by page and built natively for the device.
